What?! Wow. Hehehe, glad to be on Sprint...for now.

iOS7 looks great from the pics. At first, due to connectivity reasons and Big Win football game (sad i know), i was sure to get an Android, likely GS4 LTE Advanced or LG Optimus G2. However, with this update, i am very tempted to get back to iPhone 5S! It is gonna be tough for me.

Hey Thai, you have a Samsung smartphone right? Can you check something? When you open the stock "messaging" app, and click under settings...scroll all the way down to the bottom and click "emergency alerts". Tell me if you can disable the presidential alerts. I can't on my Galaxy S3 on Verizon.

This feature seems like something that's just might be some kind of federal mandate on newer phones?

Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) | FCC.gov

What alerts will WEA deliver?

Alerts from WEA cover only critical emergency situations. Consumers will receive only three types of alerts:

1. Alerts issued by the President
2. Alerts involving imminent threats to safety or life
3. Amber Alerts

Participating carriers may allow subscribers to block all but Presidential alerts.

That sucks, I guess all the major carriers are likely participating in this new feature. I wonder how many people on the anti-Apple and/or anti-At&t bandwagon for doing this the iPhones have this feature on their android w/o knowing it lolololol.
