iPhone 5 Picture Thread

After thinking a lot about why i am having troiuble with getting purple flare, i wonder if it is because of my case. I use Otterbox Defender case which has a large camera opening but since it is a thick case, the iphone camera sits further back from the case surface. So, it is kinda like a "hooodie" for the camera. What cases are you guys using (if one at all)?? I wonder if there is a connection b/w me having a hard time recreating the purple flare vs. others. Thoughts? Because as you can see from my pics above, i have framed the light source every which way possible and still not seeing the flare. Is it my case? Is it because my iphone 5 camera is special? :D
 
Why are we so eager to censor peoples speech on T4R? I didnt' find anything over offensive about any of the debates going on. In fact they were tame compared to iOS vs android debates on most sites.

Disappointed to see the limits placed on speech here.

See the other iphone5 thread. The posts were moved to there, not censored. We like good debates here, as long as no personal attacks are made.
 
Great shots guys! Pretty amazing the quality that you can get from these little phones these days. I think I posted this someplace before, but our local paper did a writeup on the prep athletes of the year and the photographer used her iPhone instead of her pro SLR for the shots. One, it shows you how far the camera in phones have come and two, it shows you just how important the understanding of light is when taking shots.

My droid RAZR has 8 MP as well and takes very nice photos. Not like these though, these are amazing. I know its partly the filters, but it has to be the resolution or something.

I won't pretend to know all the ins and outs of the phone world, but when I got my original EVO I was happy enough with the 8mp shots that i got rid of my point and shoot. After the release of the 3D (two 5mp cameras) the next update (for the full evo line) screwed up the single camera phones to some extent and caused the quality to drop enough that I bought my A55 Sony. It eventually got better again with the next release, but that took a while.



As for the iphone pics, not sure if she has upgraded to the 5 yet, but she had done some cool things with the 4 Photography
 
Panorama fun (I had my girlfriend take this, yes, I'm there twice. I was trying to duplicate the trick apple did. lol. It's not photoshopped, it's one continuous shot.)

I went from a 3GS to a 5. I can tell you, I'm amazed at how fast this thing is, as well as the camera.

PS: You can change the direction of panoramic pictures by simply clicking the "arrow", before starting the pic, when in panorama mode :)

i'd prefer no moderating over selective moderating.

Anal compulsive...i like to learn more about what i have. Remember, as i mentioned before, most of these factoid posts are for MY benefits in terms of referencing them later. See my posts regarding G-wagens, Subaru Outback, Toyota Prius, Harman Kardon CL, my old posts regarding 4runner specs, etc.. Do i look like a school teacher to you? Why would you think that i care about educating unknown folks on the net? If others find what i post useful, then wonderful. UNLIKE you, i don't post stupid stuff up just to get attention, esp. when the argument is long past its hour of need.

Again, lets get back to topic at hand. If you have forgotten it, then please read the first post of this thread. Otherwise, there is thing called, PRIVATE MESSAGING. Thanks.

If you were to visit the iPhone debate thread, you would find all posts that were previously in this thread over there. Nobodies posts were edited, just MOVED. If there was a picture in the post, then it stayed here.
 
I am using the incipio case, but I am not happy the way it is wearing. The rubber border is starting to feel really dry and nasty. Not many options to choose from.
