iPhone 5 - Who's in?

Flares come from near edge of frame or just off frame lighting. Your GS3 picture does NOT represent this, while iPhone 5 pic does. Really, did i really have to explain that to you?!

Again, read CR's article.

Here's a SIMPLE question; is there purple in the i5 picture? Did other owners in this thread (and all over the net) say they got purple in their pictures also? I know your i5 never gets purple in its pictures and you can back it up with all kinds of BS. Anyone who owns an i5 can simply point the camara at a light source and get purple haze but not yours. Don't you even see how full $hit you are?

Actually, Koz, i NEVER denied that there is purple flare phenom (with ANY smartphone, including iP5). If you care to read my posts in this thread, then you know that i have been TRYING to get the flare. If you care to notice, then you will see that i have framed the light source in everyway possible AND have posted the results. Do you get it? Dumbass. Consumer Reports and dpreview have both stated the same thing...flaring from lenses are normal and it is up to the USER to avoid it. Get it?! Again, why are you even in this thread dumbass?!

Good god how old are you? if you have something to say then just say it. Your 'you have to agree before I'll tell you' attitude reminds me of a 5 year old.

Back on topic. While I CAN create the purplish haze on my iphone 5 it takes a bit of trying and I have to position the phone 'just so' to create it.

With all respect, I've avoided commenting on your snide remarks because I understand how someone can get insulted because someone is making negative comments about a product they may own, but did you ever hear of "Don't kill the messenger?" Just because you don't like the message that is no reason to be insulting and make personal attacks. If you feel so bad for Thai or feel anything I post is inaccurate, try proving your point without being offensive. Just saying!

Ok, another day, another case review! :D

My Otterbox Defender is showing early signs of wear and tear at where the holster interact with the case (see pic below). In addition, there are white marks throughout the case where it contacts with surfaces due to wear. I will be refunding it. With the heavy work load my phones undergo, the silicone will look darn ugly after a few months!

I went out and bought PureGear DualTek: PureGear

I got black color. I did not install the screen protector that came with it because i already have Zagg HD. I tested out the cell signal and it is strong...on par with Otterbox Defender so far.

Two negatives so far. The camera hole is kinda small (aka normal size for most cases) because i like big freaking hole for camera! It allows lots of light in and avoid flash whiteout. So far, in my camera testing, i don't see any flash whiteout. The other negative is that the lip just below the home button is soft. I wonder if it will wear out and sag over time.

Otherwise, this case is supposedly quite heavy duty, on par with Otterbox Defender or so they claim. (Drop from six feet is doable.) It is slightly smaller than Defender all around. I got it at ATT store (private store) for $30.

Koz, what is the problem, man?

IF YOU'RE JUST LOOKING TO FLAME, PLEASE DO IT ELSEWHERE. This thread is for iPhone 5 Pictures and Panoramas, not Android fans to bash on camera quality.

If you want to continue on and on complaining about stupid pointless crap, keep it in your PM box! I'm sick of this. Get over it already!

Is there a mod out there who can do me a huge favor and delete these extra posts? Or just make me into a mod so I can do it myself? :D

Dude, EVERYTHING YOU POST is inaccurate!! Where the fukk have you been?! Nearly every point you made have been disproved beyond the doubt. It has become so damn sad because you go coward on us and don't respond back until you find some cheap response. PATHETIC.

EDIT: let me remind you of the stuff that you need to answer:

You are bias. You are blind. You are a dumbass.

Guys, this is a guy who blasted JD Powers in the past because:

J.D. Powers can twist a survey to show anything they want to. Koz

Here is the problem with their survey, they only survey 90 days of ownership! That's ridiculous.

Koz

However, in last year or so, JD Powers Initial Survey awarded Koz's car. So, what does he do? On the clublexus forum, he gushed about this very JD Powers survey that he has hated on so much in the past! He created a whole thread dedicated to JD Power's award! (see: http://www.clublexus.com/forums/gx-second-generation/577694-gx-rated-1-for-2011-a.html)

And BTW, he loves it so much that he considers it as "FACT" in his arguments!

THIS is what we are dealing with. Does this surprise anyone? And he is very persistent, esp. when you show data to support the "other" stuff that he does not own.

There is no hope for you! Nothing is going to change the fact that the i5 is MORE susceptible to lens flare (because of the sapphire glass used to protect the lens). Not even name calling and making personal attacks. I'm done with your BS!

I knew it!! You keep on reading those blogs!! Dude, synthetic sapphire has NO COLOR. Read up on it dumbass. READ Professional revews, see dpreview. Those damn idiotic blogs that you read are grossly misinformed! The "sapphire theory" is idiotic and shows the lack of understanding from those dumb folks.

lens flare (because of the sapphire glass used to protect the lens).

Koz

It is not the sapphire itself...it is likely the anti-reflective coating or something along that line.

WHY SAPPHIRE?

• Mechanically second only to diamond. One of the hardest and most scratch resistant materials
available. The high modulus of elasticity and high tensile strength make it extremely wear,
abrasion and impact resistant.
Colorless optical characteristics are superior to any standard glass, with up to a 98.5%
transmission
and a transmission window from 190 nanometers in the UV to 5 microns in the IR.
• No solarization in high-radiation systems.
• Very high dielectric constant and low loss tangent.
• Thermally very stable. Does not lose any of its mechanical and optical qualities from cryogenic
to over 2000C.
• Thermal conductivity greater than other optical materials and most dielectrics.
• No surface damage and devitrification due to extreme thermal cycling
• Does not sag or slump at very elevated temperatures.
• Highly corrosion resistant. More resistant to corrosive chemicals than most standard hard materials available.
