Why should it die? This thread is about iPhone 5. Not sure why people get their panties all twisted because i posted VALID data to show that iPhone 5 is good. :wtf: And for those who want detail analysis of the iPhone 5, i also posted technical valid data.
Koz et al. have been trying to throw their OPINIONS into the thread as factual information. All i (or anyone else) want is some good discussion on the matter backed by VAID data. Apparently, for the anti-iPhone folks, this is becoming an exercise of being against me. ndcent hilariously has taken it against me due to political reasons...WTF?! Fine. I am a big boy...i can always take it...but, unfortunately, this thread has taken a few unexpected turn. Oh well.

For me, as noted a pages back, Seidio Active and Seidio Surface cases somehow does not transmit cell signal as well as Otterbox Defender. Is it that the Defender enchances transmission i don't know. But, for me and my wife, we both confirmed the superior "Otterbox effect."
If you do get Convert, then please compare for me...just to be sure that i am not crazy about the whole signal thing with Defender!
I do agree that Otterbox screwed up badly with the holster on the Defender! But, the one thing that i hate about Seidio is that the case itself is not as high quality nor well-designed as Otterbox...and the camera opening is darn small! iPhone 4S (not sure about 5) camera sensor is very light-hungry...and thus, a small opening would not be enough. In addition, small opening also can cause flash whiteout.

Basically, it is an iPhone 4S without the cellular part + 4" screen of iPhone 5 + iOS6. It will come with the new Earpods, but those Earpods won't have the mic and three buttons functions. The camera will finally have a flash and Siri comes to town. And yes, finally, fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating will make its way to iTouch. (Prior gen iTouch did not have this coating.) Note, there is no GPS...so, no real-time navigation.

I agree...but I will let others try it first for a while before buying it...I don't trust anything unproven from China, esp electronics.

I've found generic cables to be fine for charging but I wouldn't use one to update/sync, etc.

But I wonder if these cords fry your iPhones, then will it void warranty?? I wonder if Apple can go into your iPhone and see if you used the right cord (due to communication b/w correct chips).

"Their results found that the iPhone 5 did display a "haze" when photos were taken in bright light, but the issue was no more pronounced with Apple's latest handset than with other devices.
Comparable issues with smartphone cameras were found with the iPhone 4S, the Samsung Galaxy S III, and the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx. All of the devices were tested under the same conditions in Consumer Reports' labs.
While the organization acknowledged the problem "can be annoying," they also said it's not likely to be something that will affect most photos. Users are also advised to minimize its presence by using their hand to shield their phone's camera lens from sunlight.

OK Snowflake, break out the kool-aid and let's see the fancy tech tests/charts/reviews to explain this!
Here's a picture from my i5 taking a picture of a light and a picture from my GS3 taking a picture of the same light (and i5) at the same time. See I told you the purple was pretty. I can't wait to hear this BS!

Yeah, i am still trying to find it. At times, i think that i see it thru the "viewfinder" (aka screen) when panning, but when i snap the pic, it does not come clearly out.
