It's processor & GPU matches the INTERNATIONAL Galaxy S3 performance. Again, YOUR phone is the "dumbed down" GS3...your processor is no better than HTC X One which can barely beat the 4S, much less the iPhone 5. READ THIS AGAIN before proceeding. International GS3 has the best & latest quad core Exynos from Samsung...and Apple A6 is a mere dual core that can match it step for step (depending on which benchmark you look at). YOUR GS3 phone is NOT the international one. Please understand that first before arguing with me.

Android apps are plenty, but a lot of them are junk apps that either fake **** or pure viral. For any given topic, Apple App Store has a lot of legit selection. Android Market has maybe one or two (at most) with the rest being junk apps. (So, this is also where Android market has claimed more "free" apps!) In addition, given any BIG NAME game or application, they almost always will come on Apple store first...then, months later, migrate to Android market. And i am not talking about games. Epocrates is a medical application. All the cool features are on Apple...the Android version came late and is crude.
Another example? Look at OEM car audio. My 2010 Prius NAVI/stereo does not work with Android via USB. You have to use BT Audio to play music with my Nexus. But, my iPhone integrates very well with the Prius system. Same goes for my Subaru Outback. How many headphones out there have full functionality with an Android phone vs. Apple phone? It is not even close there.
So, it is not just apps, but overall user interface and friendliness that favors the iPhone. ONLY now do you see stuff like ENTUNES from Toyota that can function with Android phones, but i have not played with it.

Still think that Samsung invented Gorilla glass?? Still think that your snapdragon S4 is quad core?
Don't worry, your GS3 is still more valuable than iPhone 3G!
GS3 isn't even more valuable than 2 generation old iPhone 4, even tho your phone came out just a few months ago.

I will get one eventually, but plan to wait a little until accessories are more readily available, especially the life proof case. Also, I will wait until they fix all the bugs that usually come with a new phone and until someone reveals a jailbreak. I've had my 4s jailbroken for its entire life and with only a few hiccups here and there it's served me very well. I'm not too crazy about them making it longer and not at least a little wider, but we'll see if I like it when I get to hold one first hand.

Galaxy Nexus but do use an iPad daily so I am familiar with both app stores. I am not arguing what is a better phone as I believe it comes down to personal preference and what features we each value. I'm just challenging blind generalizations and to say that android has "no apps" is a false statement. I don't think any reasonable person could say that there aren't any quality apps regardless of who has more or when they came out first.

This article doesn't seem to know what it is talking about. It suggests that the A6 may have been designed by Qualcomm and that not all iPhone 5's will have the A6.
He also states that geekbench is optimized to score better with quad cores, but then goes on to say that the A6 should perform similarly to the Snapdragon S4 (daul core) which is in the HTC One S which scored a 1421... significantly lower than the benchmark for the i5...

I sadly must admit I was up at 2am (CST) ordering mine last friday on apple's site. I have a coveted "deliver on 9/21" and after some snooping on UPS's site I was able to find my tracking number. My phone is in nashville, TN and will deliver on friday. I've got a 3gs, so this is a major upgrade for me and I'm super excited.
FYI, for those who did order friday (from apple) you can get your tracking number by gonig to UPS or FedEx's site. Use your mobile number as the reference number. Since they are both carriers, you'll have to try both. I found mine on UPS (much to my dismay, i work for FedEx. lol)

I will be getting a iPhone 5 in December. I always renew my contract With AT&T and buy a new phone on a two year contract.
I also buy my phones and computers from best buy due there geek squad protection I have broken an iPhone and iPad had had both replaced no questions asked.
