The iphone is now on its sixth generation of Apple’s mobile software and you still can’t drill down in the inbox view so it only displays unread emails. You also still can’t mark an email as read without opening it or navigate to the sent items without backing out to the main account list, scrolling down past the inboxes and navigating through the main folders. What kind of email app forgets the email address of people you have exchanged hundreds of emails with, just because none of those emails were in the last few sent or received.

Well, if you have exchanged "hundreds of emails", then wouldn't it be wise to save up that email addy?? If so, then the email app does fine.

for 4s users and up the mail now has a VIP folder and a flagged email folder. you can add your favorite contacts to the VIP folder and the "important emails will have a star next to them instead of a regular dot. safari now alows bookmarking of webpages.. there are 200+ features added to the iphone 5 and 4s not just the ones unveiled at the release. just quit hatin on good **** man. Does it make calls.. yes does it have apps.. yes does it work fast.. yes. does it integrate to social networks.. yes.. does it do anything anyone with a smartphone would need to do.. YES. the biggest argument winner here is how much is your android or other smart phone device worth after you purchase it.. mines worth several hundred. I can get my iphone free or essentially get paid for buying it because i've owned and still have all the iphones since they first came out. if i were to sell my old phones I'd probably have enough for two new ones.. cant say that about a droid collection...

also if you knew how to work an iphone properly you would know you can mark multiple messages as read just by editing the inbox.. as well as move multiple emails to a new folder or a "saved messages folder" you can add and create new folders as well.

its now pushing your favorite websites to icloud so even if you don't bookmark it it saves your most visited webpages. instead of taking up virtual memory on the phone to save the most recent websites

That's actually really impressive. Seriously. I am quite paranoid about dropping my GS3... It def doesn't seem to do well in any drop tests.

I've got mine in an Otterbox Commuter, but my wife's is only in a TPU case, which doesn't do much for drops. Hopefully we both make it through! I do have insurance though and auto Dropbox backup of all our pics/vids, which are like the only thing I really care about.

Honestly, I'm impressed with that drop test. Looks like a TPU case would be all you'd need for the ip5.

To each their own Btw. I'm a huuuuge Android fan and that will probably never change, but recognize the Apple does put out a good product and each have their advantages.

This is just like all the v6/v8 battles on here!

Koz, i hope that this makes you reconsider the outrageous comments you made earlier in this thread. Ghz means very little...in other words, 1.5 Ghz vs. 1.0 Ghz does not automatically mean that one is faster. REMEMBER, iPhone 5 is clocked at ONLY 1.06 Ghz and has ONLY 1 GB of RAM. (Just imagine if Apple had overclocked it at 1.5 Ghz, then it will blow serious steam...at the expense of battery life.) This is why the iPhone 5 processor is special...it provides quad-core like speeds with the battery life of a small processor!

Note that 4S browser speed is quite good, on par with GS3...despite clocking at a mere 800 MHz and 512 MB RAM.

Don't be blind Koz...open your eyes.

The iPhone 5 is awesome to take apart.

I have a little business at my high school where I repair iPhones, iPods, iPads, and some Macs.

The iPhone 4S has been one of the harder devices to take apart, iphone 3G/3GS being the easiest due to it's unibody design. Looks good in terms of business until I saw that drop test, damn you apple for actually making something durable for once!

Basically, iPhone 5 smokes everyone, not named iPad 3. And b/w it and iPad 3, it's a draw. iPhone 5 beats Galaxy S3 (both quad core & dual core) and Galaxy Nexus by a very wide margin. It is quite impressive to get this type of performance with just two cores (and 3 GPU cores). And to top it off, battery life remains excellent.

As noted in another article, A6 speed is anywhere b/w 800 Mhz and 1.2 Ghz (for average of 1 Ghz) depending on load.

My wife grabbed a new white 16gb last night at best buy. Walked in at 7pm and there was one left. We have been holding off. Her 4 is cracked and regular mic don't work. Camera also out as of last week due to a splash down. Lol.

Switched to Verizon. Better service in this area. I'll switch in a couple months when our contract is up.

Thai, I usually choose not to tangle with you, but you're getting a little obnoxious. You scour the web to find articles that support your opinion and any conflicting points of view are just wrong in your eyes. You side step personal opinion and try to find "facts" on why your way of thinking is better. I realize most people think iPhone is the best, but most people used to think the world was flat - that didn't make it true.
I own phones from both sides and prefer the customization and functionality of the droid to the standardization of the iPhone. For my use, they both work well, though (personally) I've had more problems with the iPhone than my old outdated Evo. You mention having to reset Droids as mechanical failure, but I've been recommended to shut down my iPhone daily if i want it to work properly. iPhone people think their phone is the best (probably because apple tells you so) but my droid phone still works just fine after 4 years.
Anyway, post as many "facts" as you want to prove me wrong, but I like my droid, and that's all that matters (to me). Hopefully, this will help you understand that people don't always make decisions based on the same criteria as you & it will help you try to be more understanding & accepting of people that may think different than you.

I will let you use my Droid Incredible for 2 weeks, at the end of those 2 weeks you don't pull your hair out or toss the phone out the window I would be amazed. I think we all 'like' what we do based on our experiences, mine being he!!. It took over 2 months for the latest update to actually successfully load onto my phone, and when it did, the phone boot loops for 2 hours starting at 2am (google it, huge problem they cant fix nor will they pull the update). The response from HTC...."it does not damage the hardware of the phone"! Who cares if you can't sleep, right (yeah, yeah, silent, etc, but still). My wife has teh 4s, has never shut the phone off in over a year and never had a single issue with it. I have an iPad2 and turned it off once for a flight in the past year. Again, neither of these have had a single issue. All software updates have gone flawlessly and not created more or new problems.

If you have a great droid phone and no issues and are happy then all the better. I know mine was he!!. The stability of the iPhone trumps any silly customization for me.
