Thai, I usually choose not to tangle with you, but you're getting a little obnoxious. You scour the web to find articles that support your opinion and any conflicting points of view are just wrong in your eyes. You side step personal opinion and try to find "facts" on why your way of thinking is better.

It's kinda funny...you think i am obnoxious because i present FACTS that contradicts your opinion. Fine. I did not expect to get sympathy from Android fanboys.

Feel free to scour the web to find articles that support your opinion. I challenge you and Koz. You say that iPhone is unreliable...prove it. Prove that iPhones are more unreliable than Android. Fair challenge, don't you think? I guess that the Sprint CEO does not really know what he's talking about. (And if you know Mr. Dan Hesse, then you will know that he is a big Android fanboy!) Feel free to quote any big heads from ATT or Verizon that say otherwise.

I sidestep personal opinion because they are just that...OPINIONS. And as the saying goes, everyone has one just like everyone has....well, you get my point.

I use Google Maps almost daily on my iPhone 4.

I agree...iOS Maps still lags behind Google maps by a wide margin. But then again, i still have Garmin as my backup on my iPhone. From what i hear, Apple fully expects this and is working hard to catch up. With Apple's enormous money & resources, i am sure that it will be better soon.

I realize most people think iPhone is the best, but most people used to think the world was flat - that didn't make it true.I own phones from both sides and prefer the customization and functionality of the droid to the standardization of the iPhone. For my use, they both work well, though (personally) I've had more problems with the iPhone than my old outdated Evo. You mention having to reset Droids as mechanical failure, but I've been recommended to shut down my iPhone daily if i want it to work properly. iPhone people think their phone is the best (probably because apple tells you so) but my droid phone still works just fine after 4 years.
Anyway, post as many "facts" as you want to prove me wrong, but I like my droid, and that's all that matters (to me). Hopefully, this will help you understand that people don't always make decisions based on the same criteria as you & it will help you try to be more understanding & accepting of people that may think different than you.

This is why, I dont even read his posts anymore, this is spot on. :bravo:

Looks like your reading comprehension skills are just as questionable as your interpersonal communication skills. If you were paying attention, you'd know that I am not any kind of fanboy. My opinions are based solely on my personal use of each phone. I dont care what the "experts" say, I only care how it works for what I'm using it for.

I'm not looking to debate you on which phone is "better" because I honestly don't care. I use my phone out of necessity & some convenience features. For example, I used the GPS feature on a recent vacation. I tried the iPhone first, but it was lagging and faulty, so we used the Evo for the remainder of the week without issue.

This is just one instance where my Droid has outperformed the iPhone. This is a fact brought to you from personal experience, not an opinion presented as fact by a so called expert. This is the same thing I was trying to say in my first post in this thread (post 19)

I wasn't late to the conversation and haven't insulted anyone (unless I offended someone with my anti-iPhone comments) so lets not make blanket statements about what you think I "always" do. But, for your own education, "going off silent" and refusing to take place in an online p!$$!ng match is not the same thing. You should try it sometime. I'm sure the members of this forum would appreciate it.

Mainly because certain Android fans are 100% certain that their phone is the best phone you can buy and they can't fathom when anyone would buy an Apple device that doesn't allow you to tweak every little thing. They get annoyed that most accessories are designed with iphone in mind and their particular android device is left out in the cold. They then decide that it is marketing that is responsible for thing travesty. The only way to battle marketing is to market: bully IPhone users by calling them sheep, say they are buying an inferior device (in every measurable way), and try to make people feel stupid.

The iPhone 5 thread on another forum I visit is a ****ing mess of Android fans trying to drive the thread off topic and people being flat out douchbags to people that actually want iPhone 5 info. That is precisely why the android thread on that same forum has zero iPhone users trolling but the iPhone thread is trolled like crazy. Android fanboys have an inferiority complex. Their decision may be the best for them, but it doesn't get the popular vote in a lot of ways, so they go on their little rampages where people are different from them.

Yet windows people give me **** for my macs, when the major reason I went to macs in the first place was the ability to run OSX and Windows.

Because I've definitely seen true dual boot and virtual boxes on iPhone. I've seen Ubuntu, Android OS Froyo and ICS on iPhone as well...you know since the iPhone isn't customizable

Dusty, a few things. We all have opinions on certain products. I am not here to debate that. There is a lemon in every crowd. HOWEVER, most of what i have written is based on FACTS (such as processor design, screen tech, etc.) and repeated testimonials by people in the know (e.g. Sprint CEO, big time reviewers who have done hands-on reviews). I don't chase opinions from small groups of consumers and present them here as facts, such as what Koz had done.

As JD has clearly pointed out, you are far from neutral with your original post...so, no need to BS further about your reason being here. That would only make you look bad.

How old is your iPhone? If you're using an older version of iPhone, then what navigation are you using?? Maps on older iPHones are Google maps. If it is not google maps, then you're using a 3rd party navi system...if so, then how is it Apple's fault? iPhone and Android use similar GPS sensor etc.. (The major exception is that Samsung phones have had history of notoriously bad GPS sensor.)

I have presented facts that opinions can't change. Koz brought up that his GS3 is faster, for example. This is simply not true, whether opinions get hurt or not. I have clearly (beyond a doubt) presented facts that contradicts Koz's opinion. Did i hurt you in the process? Maybe...and did i lose you as a fan? Sure. Like i said before, i do not expect to get sympathy from Android users. I understand that you may not like what i post, but understand that what i post is factual and/or has much bearing on the topic at hand. It is not simply someting i pull out of my a$$, like what Koz had done.

In the near future, you will have two major quad-core processors (Exynos from Samsung and Snapdragon S4 PRO from Qualcomm). Samsung will use Exynos, while HTC (and others) will use Snapdragon PRO.

(Before Koz jumps, please remember that this is S4 PRO which is quad core. GS3 in USA has Snapdragon S4 which is dual core.)

This is preliminary benchmarks for S4 PRO from LG phone (not released yet):

For iPhone 5, the BrowserMark score was 191726 (higher is better). For Sunspider, iPhone 5 got 908 (lower is better).

It seems that, as of now and near future, the A6 will be top dog, regardless of core numbers. And with such high performance, it is even more spectacular how little battery juice it uses compared to the battery-draining quad cores!

I believe that this is the first time that Apple has come out with a processor that is class-leading with the intro of an iPhone. In the past, Android has always had more firepower...but this is changing with the iPhone 5 intro.
