The iPhone 8 (with smell-o-vision) will be out before this thread dies.

For example, I used the GPS feature on a recent vacation. I tried the iPhone first, but it was lagging and faulty, so we used the Evo for the remainder of the week without issue.

This is just one instance where my Droid has outperformed the iPhone. This is a fact brought to you from personal experience, not an opinion presented as fact by a so called expert. This is the same thing I was trying to say in my first post in this thread (post 19)

I wasn't late to the conversation and haven't insulted anyone (unless I offended someone with my anti-iPhone comments) so lets not make blanket statements about what you think I "always" do. But, for your own education, "going off silent" and refusing to take place in an online p!$$!ng match is not the same thing. You should try it sometime. I'm sure the members of this forum would appreciate it.

Lets name a few: much better camera, faster, uses less battery (unless RAZR MAXX), made to a much much higher standard with more exotic materials, amazing fit & finish, holds way better value (not even in the same ballpark), more pixel density, more apps, much more reliable, smoother, and gets updates in a timely manner. I am sure that i miss a few more, but you get the picture.

I think that the iPhone 5 has really put Android community in a bind! In the past, Android has always had better specs on paper, including Mhz speed and LTE/4G. So, this was an easy argument for Android folks to make. But, with the iPhone 5, everything changed. It comes with LTE and a bigger screen...plus a processor chip that kills all Android has to offer, bar none. Basically, there isn't a thing now that Android crowd can claim to be better...other than actual screen real estate and even then the quality of the screen is far inferior to iPhone 5. This makes Android crowd very uncomfortable.

But note that even the iPhone 4S matches that of the Galaxy S3 in browser performance...so, even the best of the best from Android can't beat yesterday's iPhone in browser performance and resale value.

IMHO, a cell phone is a cell phone, is a cell phone, dont they all basically do the same thing now a days ?
I do know that Ill NEVER stand in a line for hours, just to get another cell phone, I have better things to do with my time :driving:
anyways, have fun talking about a darn phone, on a 4Runner forum :shrug:
 
04rnr, it's called PRE-ORDER. Got mine on day of release without waiting in line.

But it does show how popular it is. Samsung or any Droid would crap & piss on the floor if that happened to them!

I used to think that. I made fun of people who spent hundreds on the iPhone 3 and their insane app obsession. I remember attending a dinner party where my wife and I were the only people without the iPhone, and were bored with the nonstop "look at this app" discussion.

3 years later, I drank the koolaid and bought the iPhone 4. My wife thought I was a fool. But then it happened to her, she started playing with mine and soon got her own. The multi-tasking I can accomplish with my life with this thing is quite amazing. This doesn't make me an Apple fanboy, but it does make me a guy who appreciates a nice and useful gadget.

I hear ya, I looked at the iphone with siri, was cool, but Im not going to pay that much for a phone, when just about any other phone will do the same or close to the same thing.
I do not, have more money than brains lol on the other side of the that coin, its your money, do as you wish with it.
as an example, some will not, spend the money I have in my rig,, some will not spend the money I have in guns or have spent in racing, its all in want you, want to do with your money.
I use my phone as a phone, and sometimes, get online, but really just to get my emails, while away from a PC, and just about any phone will do that.
May be one day, Ill go back and look at the iphones, IF the price comes down.

How much do you think iPhones cost? They cost the same as top Android phones. What Android do you have? So, your statement applies to Apple and Android.

Actually, if you're financially limited and need a smartphone, then buying an Android is quite possibly the worst investment you can make! At least, with an iPhone, you get excellent value when you decide to sell it down the road...with an Android, it is basically worthless after 6 months. So, one can argue that you DO have more money than brains for your Droid investment! :D
