as we don't have the iphone here in Canada i'm looking into getting one unlocked
however i've got a question for you re the version
i.e

1.1.2
any one know the difference?

1.1.1!!!! Don't get 1.1.2!!! 1.1.2 isn't cracked, and will not let you do everything you can do with the 1.1.1 version.

my purchased ringtone was erased when i upgraded to 1.1.2 and my iphone is not even hacked.
the only diffrence is the international
thingy .

i know i heard that too re rogers.....but my sources also say that rogers is not able to bring it up until they upgrade parts of their server.....and that will not happen right away
the price is right so ill grab it then when rogers brings it up ill be ready to rock

1.1.2 Lets you make your own custom ringtones. I just added 5 of my own - mp3s & wavs converted to AAC format and renamed with the .m4r extension.

Yeah and any song purchased in iTunes will work too. You can pick any 30 seconds of the song.

I also love the iPhone, I just thought I should let you know that if you are planning on using Rogers for your unlocked iPhone that Leo Laporte (Tech Analyst, TV Show in Canada, and TWIT) said he couldn't get his unlocked iPhone to work on Rogers, I am not sure if he ever resolved this issue just thought I would let you know.

I had a razr with verizon before leaving for the iPhone, and now I couldn't go back I love the iPhone.
