Ipod cable help

Hey everyone. I recently installed a Scion T1808 and 5' long ipod cable in the wife's 03 4runner. Its having the radio-reception issues (due to the 1 antenna input vs the 2 on the old radio) and the new ipod cable is having issues as well. The cable has to be held a certain way in order for the music to be heard in all speakers.

Question #1: is there a part that will allow me to plug in BOTH antenna cables to the T1808's socket? An adapter of some kind?

Question #2: does anyone have an ipod cable they ARE HAPPY WITH? One theyve bent, used at length, have had for years, and its still working perfectly.

Thanks in advance

You need a Y adapter and a step up to adjust the size of the smaller cable. This will get both antennas into one socket. I've been reading that one of the antennas is dynamic and you need to tap in a power source. I haven't noticed a change in quality so far with a 1809 installed about a month ago.

OK, thanks.

Is this what i'll be needing?

I have the METRA Ltd 40-UV43 y adapter. And I used the Metra 40-GM10 GM Antenna Adapter.

I think there are other antenna adapters that are the same size but are labeled for other vehicles, like FD40 for a Ford truck, etc.
