IPod/IPhone Cable Routing

Just installed an AVIC-Z130BT and purchased the ipod/iphone integration cable. Right now I have the entire length of the cable stuffed in the glove box, but was wondering if anyone else had come up with any good ideas of where to route this cable where it was not in the way but still accessible. Don't want to reinvent the wheel if someone has already done it. I would like to get a male to female plug mount for both the USB and mini-jack cables that are panel mountable. If I can find them, I could cut a small hole in the center console box and connect the ipod/iphone cable there. When I'm not using it, or if I wanted to hook up a thumbdrive or something I could easily remove the pigtail for the Iphone. I have also thought about using one of the blank switches on the center console and doing the same thing there, but there is no way to hide the cable that way, and I don't necessarily want that out all the time. Love to hear any ideas that you may have come up with.
