iPod kit??

Whats the best kit to hookup the iPod to a 2003 4Runner with navigation, would like to maybe hook it up via direct connection, anyone know if there are any inputs on the back of the navigation head unit? I've played around with the FM transmitters, but haven't used one yet that was very clear.

How do you want to hook it up. I use my ipod all the time with the cassette adapter works great for me

I would like to hook it up to the back of the Navigation head unit, if there is a input to hook it up to, I thought maybe someone who has taken the navigation head unit out could verify whether or not there are any inputs on the back of the unit, I have also heard that it might be possible to get a kit to hook it up through the CD changer controls? If not I will give the Cassette adapter a try.

My wife got an ipod and since she only has a cd player the casette adapter was out, so I purchased one of those transmitters that you use to hear it through your choice of FM stations. The reviews were pretty good, but what do you expect from a radio transmission.

I had the same problem.

According to Bliztsafe, the 'direct connection' won't be available til early next year as Toyota redesigned the audio system with or without JBL.

For the time being, I am using iTrip with my 3 Gen iPod. It work quite well and the reception has been wonderful even in the station-crowded LA area. Of course the quality is not as good as..say.. 'AUX input but it does look cleaner in the truck(without wires) than cassette adapters.

you might want to consider not getting an ipod seeing as the battery which cost around $255 to replace *non refundable* last about 18 months

i saw a clip of some really pissed off guy who found out this and its pretty funny

might wanna research the ipod b4 u buy unless u wanna waste money

I'm not worried about the battery life, I have a cigarette lighter adapter kit that will power the iPod, my personal opinion is that theres no bettter mp3 player out there that the iPod, it also works very well with my mac and iTunes.

its the DLO Transpod kit

I know its a FM transmitter, but there just doesn't seem to be anything to do the direct connect yet, I will also try the cassette adapter.
