interesting! didn't know white was more rare. almost sounds like record collecting where the black wax isn't as special as the colored, in this case, the white Nano.

i think i'd still prefer the black as it's more 'grimm' and has more 'kvlt like status' hahahaha.

whites are harder to come by because very few people buy the whites. Stores all carry the black ones and very few whites. Black was on backorder from apple awhile ago.

congrats on the 2gb white nano. You'll love it as much as I love my black one.

I ordered one of those the day they came out... i love it. the only problem is not only did mine come with a small scratch on it, but it scratches so easily im afraid to put it in my pocket. I covered the surface with transparent tape the day i got it but it still has a few scratches already.
I hear the white ones dont show the scratches as easily tho, but i have yet to see a white one, everyone has black

i think the thing that scratches the easiest is the rear metal backing. i have a 2nd or 3rd Gen iPod and the back is beat up. the front not so much.

Yea i noticed that one my buddies 20g and the back is all scratched up but the nano seems to scratch even easier onn the front. which is the worst place for it to scratch imo

The Nano's pretty neat because of it's size but for the money and coming shortly I'll be able to buy a 30gb ipod with video playing capability for only $50 more than the 4gb Nano.
