Got new rims!
Hey guys I got the new rims yeaterday! The rims were already sand blasted black but needed some touch up. So I went to autozone and picks up dupli color premium auto paint in black red and a clear coat best spray paint for anything auto period. I plan on doing a red lip around the rim but today I only got to the touching up. I sprayed 3 or 4 coats of this stuff all over the front of each rim and they look a millions times more blacker and better. sorry pictures don't show it that well I'll get some better ones tommarow. The red lip around the rim will look very cool I might do that tommarow, then I will spray the clear it's gonna be killer. What you guys think? I know it's been sandblasted and it looked great before minus some imperfections,now they just look perfect!

ya man! those look killer! just make sure to lay a ton on thin coats of that red and double clear coat it for extra protection! and i woul do the wiper black with red accents:artist2:

I decided not to paint the red ring around the rim, I totally customized and built a custom guitar and had stripes on it and I used auto paint, as I play guitar but I did not feel comfortable painting red ring around the lip of the rim.
I did not want the rim to be messed up or lopsided it's hard to do round object with tape and paper to mask off. But I did finish the black and got a whole can of clear on there and I plannon doing another can of clear they look great!

Hey Man, your 4runner is coming along real well! I am not usually a fan of modern mufflers made seemingly to make a car sound like it needs a New muffler??? But you have a great sound coming out of your tailpipe there! I can't do all of the stereo and GPS stuff, due to my easily slashable soft top. I miss having a decent stereo system.

Got my new cold air intake today!!! I just need to make or buy a heat shield. It's gonna be awesome, it's gonna improve sound acceleration and maybe miles per gallen, it's a $50 dollar intake from a eBay store called chrome intakes I've seen videos from stock intakes to these put in and man what a difference. I'll take a video of my stock sound and with the new intake! when I'm done putting it in this weekend! PS pictures of the intake below! This thing is huge! And I also finished the rims!

Thanks man, and yea I just liked the looks and rolled the dice for the sound but turned out good! And it you come nack to this threa this weekend you'll here that bad boy with the silencers off and I new air intake! Yea my systems is not bad at all all stock speakers but with a kenwood cd player head, it really sounds pretty damn good, but I'll eventually get some subs and speakers, now what's the reason you can't do it?

Hey bud! no the muffler is the tip! That whole chrome thing you see at the back is the muffler/ 3inch burnt tips. The tips are dual and attached to the muffler already, and a 2.5 inch pipe from the muffler back to the cat, I plan of eventually getting a magnaflow high flow catalytic convertor.
not sure where you live but that thing is a ***** to put on if its chilly outside. Those couplings are a pain. You may want to seal up around the white plastic screw in piece on the intake. Its not sealed well at all. Not sure if you know this but the metal piece they send with the unit to mount it with will not hold it. Its not strong enough. I also had to trim a piece where the stock air box went.
No increase in gas mileage at all. I am going back to stock and will be putting a snorkel on. I will try and take some pictures to show you as soon as i can

Can not do a good sound system because I have a Softopper on my 85 4runner. I am too worried that someone will use a buck knife and slash through it and steal my stereo. Not much crime in Montana, but stealing stuff from cars is a big problem. I don't want my nice new top destroyed. Plus I plan on leaving the top open in the good weather. Too easy of a target.

Did you notice a gain in anything? And I eventually plan on getting a kn air filter to go on the end of the pipe, and what part are you telling me to seal? Can you show me? How hard was it to trim the peice amd what did you trim exatly like some metal in the engine bay near where the original box was?

I got the new rims on $40 bucks at this country bumpkin tire place and I'm going back tomorrow to get the right sized lug nuts put on and they will be chrome haha awesome! Right now the lug nuts are on and stay on but not fully on so tomorrow they are gonna put them on for free when we bring em by. The rims in these pictures are waaaaaaaaayy glossier and shiny my picture thing sucks :/ here they are tell me what ya think!

here is my intake man im deff gonna ditch the cheap-o filter that came with the kit i had to fab up a bottom mounting bracket for it not the best designed intake and i had to buy a spectre tube (mounts into engine) i just noticed a nice loud intake sound from it and maybe a little gain. this is current pic of it
you should get a good paint and re-do the top back to black and do the wiendsheild wippers black
