ironman fridge slide

Why: I currently have a drawer system with a rolling fridge slide top. However, my buddies kept destroying the latch on it over and over again evertime they tried to steal my beer, so I needed a fridge slide, and I am a cheap bastard so when the ironman fridge slide went on sale, i was like why not.... I like aussie designed products.

Pros:
1. its cheap currently with summer coupon and free shipping.
2. good powdercoat
3. full extension
4. mounting bolts included
5. heavy duty sliders
6. has half and full extension lockout
7. has an extra safety latch (green thing in pictures), and a standard thumb latch on the right side (hard to see). So 2 failsafes.
8. really easy to install, i didnt have to disassemble.
9. shipping was stupidly fast. Had it at my door in 2 days from ordering.
10. Does not rattle even when unloaded out of the box.

Cons:
1. made of the worlds best chinesium, it doesnt bother me but it might bother you.

3. its freaking heavy, but all of them are.

5. beer theft will become more rampant

I went with this one: XMAS Sale Setpower Fridge Slider for AJ30/40/50 12V Refrigerator

as the measurements just happened to fit my fridge and it seems to be sturdy as hell for the price. Took it offroading many times and its been holding up great so far. Been high speed offroading as well as through some rough rock, tipping on 3 wheels etc and fridge stayed solid.

Great thing to have, I added a DFG slide n tilt for my Dometic fridge a few years back. Zero issues and its hand made in the USA, love it!

Does the dfg lock when extended? Do you have the one with the cutting board and does that lock extended also?

They had a aluminum one I want but it’s always out of stock. Man I wanted one bad!!!

Because of the tilt, there is no need for a lock that I've noticed. Pics will explain better maybe.

Lol that fridge slide was also a finalist I was about to buy the igeco rebrand of the fridge slide you purchases, but my buddies were looking for internet deals for me and came across iron man’s version and insisted that I should get ironman (warrantee/brand). They both have half and full lock out. I like the fridge slide you purchased a bit better due to how it latches. Price wise very similar.

Either way, it’s cool to have budget friendly products available to choose from.

UPdate: ironman slide does have a half and full extension lock out.

Homemade, not by me though. I used to work with a machinist, that was also into wood working and had a wood shop at home. I drew up what a was wanting and he put it together.
