irwin bolt extractors

I had rounded off one of my 12mm bolts on the skid plate, and i spent hours trying to figure out a way to get out... because it's in a tight spot you can't grasp it with vice grips or anything like that, seems to be only room for a socket with extension. anyways i searched online for options and I found these irwin bolt extractors and the reviews seemed good so I gave the 12mm a shot and I hammered it on the rounded bolt head the best i could with a rubber mallet and the bolt was loosen within 60 seconds. I couldn't believe it worked that well. so if anyone has trouble with tight spot rounded bolts, give these a try. I was impressed enough to share my experience.

I bought a set of the Irwin bolt extractors as well for removing my rounded skid plates and have used them on on several applications since. Great tool to have in the garage!
