Is Albuquerque the 4 Runner Capitol

I always see Runners everywhere I go in town so today on the way home I counted all the 4 Runners I saw.

My drive home is 19.8 miles and I counted 23 Runners..... 1.16 Runners per mile...:wow2:

1 - 5th Gen
7 - 4th Gen
13 - 3rd gen
2 - 2nd gen

But only three had any noticeable Mods. Mostly stock..:nono:

The other day I counted 11 different Thrid Gens on my 50-ish mile commute through Tulsa. Yesterday, only three.

I was thinking the same think last night. Saw a great looking 3rd gen with an ARB and a nice lift on my way home last night. There are everywhere (which is a great thing!)

Thats crazy there are so many out there...I see a 3rd gen maybe once a week, if that. There are a lot of 5th gens, and a few 4th, but I don't see very many at all. In fact, I just saw a white one like mine for the first time last week since I bought mine last October.

I agree, the 2 vehicles you see on the roads around here, are subarus and Runners. They are everywhere!!!

I now see multiple 5th gens daily and I don't have to venture more than a few miles from my house and I've been at a stop light more than once where gens 1-4 were represented at the same light.

Colorado is definetly the 4Runner and Subi capital of america while Florida seems to have the least.

I pass by 3 4th gens,4 3rds and 2 2nds and 1st gen just getting out of my neighborhood and we just got a 5th gen around here too.

Sweet, another Texas person...I'm on Ft. Hood but in Austin pretty frequently.

I see them in Houston all the time and there is one 3rd gen I ENVY!!! And I see him every damn day at memorial city mall (popular mall in Houston) and there is a kid who lives in my friends neighborhood with a sick ass fj and it has the 5 point stars on the doors like old army Heeps. Both rigs are lifted and awesome. And I'm basically stock :,(

Oh, and I think it's this famed "so cal" because they seem to have every part, lift and sport hood. Houston has fords and chevys. To find a part here is like panning for gold.

Phfft, In Las Vegas I've only seen two in 3 weeks and I drive 16 miles to work and back everyday. Even the dealers don't have many, hence my frustration in getting a used 2010/11 LE. Plenty on the east coast

I live in a small town in Southern Ohio, one of the reasons I bought a 4Runner is because I would be different than most in town. I doubt there are even half a dozen in the whole county!

I'd say around ten a day sounds about right for me here in Austin.

I commute between Dallas and Fort Worth daily and see a ton of 4Runners daily; mostly 3rd Gens. Almost none of them have any visible modifications.

Yeah i am going to have to say Albuquerque is no where near the 4runner capital. Having grown up there, and still visit family there I don't see nearly as many as other places. It would be interesting to do a per capita comparison around different areas though.

Side note, where are some good trails around Albuquerque? The wife and I were thinking about doing at least a day trip next time we are down. PM me or something if anyone has any info, it would be appreciated.
