Is my 2012 an SR5 or a Trail?

How can I tell if my 4Runner is an SR5 or a trail? I thought it was an SR5 but after looking into leather seat covers I'm not positive. It seems that the only option for no third row is the Trail. Another reason I really need to know is because I'm getting ready to order N-Fab Nerf Bars and and they are different for the two different trim levels.

Since it has an SR5 badge and SR5 Wheels and SR5 front clip i am going to have to assume its an SR5

I do believe you have an SR5. The 2012 Trail has a hood scoop, and different body side mouldings (over the wheel wells and the rocker panel).

the Trail has smoked headlights, 8 hole wheels, black front valance, more curve to the rear bumper, scooped hood, and a button overhead for the rear locker.

I forgot to mention if its a 2012 trail it will have the optitron gauges.... if you don't know what that is google it and prepare to be envious.. lol

I bought it used as an SR5 Premium. However, when looking to have my seats re-covered I was told that it has to be a Trail. I didn't agree but I wanted to verify. I apologize if my question is beneath you.

Thank you. Unfortunately I spoke to my stereo tuner and he told me that the leather could cause additional reflections which could hurt the sound. As much as I want the leather I want to win car audio finals even more.

It's funny, when I googled most of the "trails" that it showed had SR5 on them. I was 99% sure that mine wasn't a trail but I didn't want my wallet to have to pay for me making a stupid mistake.

It's better to look like an idiot online in front of a bunch of people that I don't know.

2012 Trail was available in black, silver, grey, salsa red, and shoreline blue. It was not available in blizzard pearl (which appears to be the color of the OP's 4Runner).

More specifically, the plastic clips are no longer holding the center of these trim pieces against the vehicle. This has caused the doors to rub on them damaging the paint on the trim and under the door.

1) What is this piece called?
2) Can these be replaced with something different?

Toyota calls it a rocker molding, I have seen it referred to as a side skirt aswell (non Toyota lingo). They can be replaced with sliders or simply removed although I think it looks a bit odd removed. Sounds like the best solution is to buy the clips that hold it on an hope the new ones hold better. I think that rocker molding from toyota is 400-600$, but I have been wrong before
