Is my AC condenser leaking?

Noticed this last night, the fitting on the driver side is wet, comparing to the passanger side, should I worry? 2021 with around 17000 miles on the clock. AC seems not cold when idling, but I guess that's subjective and maybe just the way 4runner it is.

IIRC isn’t the nature of AC to have a hot and cold side?

Some parts will have wet condensation under normal operation, I’m just not sure WHICH parts.

A/C should perform at idle, ice cold.

One of the first signs of system failure is “it’s only cold in motion”.

How much is an A/C refresh at your dealer? I’m sure they’ll be glad to sell you one, and less invasive than replacing the compressor.

Does Toyota still use Denso? Had a retail unit fail at 4 years old. Bosch lasts 15+. Never again.

it's likely oil. oil will attract dirt and make a grimy appearance like that. oil is a component of the AC compressor. it looks like a very small leak if it has taken that long to look like that

2021 with warranty, take it to toyota and let them replace the compressor

Honestly? That looks like a very minor seep, more than likely they'll just warranty the condenser line for some warranty time (you probably could just go as far as a new o-ring, but warranty would give you more shit for that than ordering a new line). Compressor would only be something they'd consider if the system had an internal failure and then we're following a TSB to check which ports have debris/junk in them to determine what chart of replacement parts we're using.

I would not have cleaned it off [MENTION=701633]supermark[/MENTION] because it makes it mildly more annoying to warranty. But you did take a picture so just show them that and where you cleaned it off, a bit more of a hassle if warranty wants to pick a fight; but this is hardly the first seeping A/C line I've seen. That should easily be covered under 3yr/36k bumper to bumper and they'll evac and recharge it for you if it's actually low.

Quite probably a tiny seep at the connection as stated above.
It won't get better by itself so take it in for the warranty work.
Suggest that they add dye when they evacuate and fill.
Will make future leak diagnostics super easy.

I have seen the occasional AC line/fittings seeping/leaking (likely due to a rolled, pinched, and/or poorly formed O-Ring usually), I even had one that had a porous weld that caused a slow leak. But I don't usually see too many failed compressors and condensers that aren't outside influence (i.e. debris/accident damage causing failure due to leaking condenser and lack of oil).

It also genuinely annoys me that Toyota doesn't put dye from the factory.

What ended up being the problem and solution? I have a 2023 ORP and I have the same issue on the same spot, except I have no issues with my AC, yet. 1800 miles.
