i got an delphi fuel pump and i had to cut an oem fuel pump connector and crimp it with the one that came with a delphi fuel pump kit and i want to test it before i fully install the tank. any thoughts would be great
Is there a way to test a fuel pump without fully installing it??

Just connect it to 12V, easy.

I don't mean to sound like an idiot lol
but keep hearing this but I don't know what it means
Your going to need a 12V battery or take the pump to your car battery. Connect the black to ground and positive to fuel pump supply voltage. You should hear the pump whine if you connected it right.

According to the above instruction:
NOTE: Review markings on the pump in the bracket for +
and - electrical connections. Mark the wires + or - at this
time so that the proper polarity is maintained for the new pump.

I understand connecting the ground to black on a battery
what I'm having trouble understanding is connecting the fuel supply voltage to the positive side of the battery. I'm i suppose to use a wire or....?
Yup connect the fuel supply to the positive side using a wire.
