Is there an OEM XM radio install for 05 4Runner w/ JBL?

I'm really only interested in something that would be controlled through the factory headunit - I don't want a seperate controller anywhere, and don't want to have to use FM modulation or anything else like that.

There was no such thing when we bought this 4runner (at least according to the dealer), but I hear people talking about satellite radio installs for 06s and was wondering if they're backward compatible with 05s (w/ JBL) and more importantly if they are truely OEM/integrated to where the headunit takes care of all functions?

Yes there is a factory XM and Sirus unit for the 06, I just purchased a unit for the wifes 06, with JBL I have not gotten it installed yet but it was bought at the dealership.

OK... so will it work seemlessly w/ an 05 w/ JBL and allow control through the headunit?

If the AM button has SAT on it also, then the OEM XM Unit should work, if SAT is missing, then it probably won't. I don't think the 05s had a SAT option though.

Just installed a factory XM unit in a 06 Limited. Very clean installation. Takes 3 to 4 hrs. Ability to use the steering wheel controls makes the cost and effort worth it. Just wish the supplied antenna was the shark fin type. Supplied antenna the same as aftermarket. Still works well.
