Is this normal?

I just bought an '03 V8 Limited and I need to know whether this is normal behavior for our transmissions. When I come to a complete stop holding down the break, as soon as I release it, I feel a small bump. I sense that this is the transmission kicking into first. Should I be feeling this at all? I feel no shifting at any other time or at any other speeds.

You can search around the boards. Normal. A good suggestion is to lube the driveshaft up. Once I did this it became much more subdue.

My 3rd gen did it a lot and my 4th gen does it occassionaly. I've been told it has to do with a torque build-up in the suspension that releases when you let up on the brakes (sort of like a spring).

The first few times it happened on my 3rd gen I had thought someone had bumped into me from behind.
