Is this price good for Goodyear tires?

So I decided to get the Revo tire today and then on my way passed by Goodyear tent sale..They have a Wrangler AT/S 265/70/17 for $134.00 ea. the salesman said it's a $200.00 tire normally but they are having an early Labor day sale.. does this sound true or is it a salesman BS?

Have you checked discounttiredirect.com or tirerack.com?

Those two sites carry Goodyear and will give you a price to compare to. Without looking I'm guessing that $134 is a pretty good price for that size.

EDIT: discont tire has it listed at $195 w/ free shipping so if you like that tire I would jump on it for $134.

IIRC Goodyear is discontinuing that line of tire due to the Silent armor line(there is one that looks just like the AT/S). just make sure is not going to be discontinued because if something happens to it and they are not around anymore you will be SOL.

Go Michelin

I replaced my stock Dunlop's (total crap) with Michelin Cross Terrains and could not be happier. They now have about 14,000 miles on them and are like new. The ride is awesome in both dry and wet, snowy conditions.

They were $137.50 installed at Costco. Tires are the only thing between you and the road. Don't go just on price. Goodyear can not match Michelin in any catagory.

Make sure it's the "Wrangler Silent Armour". There's a 'low-end' tire called AT/S. IMHO you don't want that.

travis0311tide, Goodyear Wrangler AT/S is very similar to Wrangler Silent Armor. At $134 per tire the AT/S are a steal, and YES, THEY ARE BEING DISCONTINUED, so make sure you buy 5.

rockwall, Michelin CTs are excellent tires, but they are in a different category from Wrangler AT/S, so you can't really compare the two. I have Silent Amors on my truck and is very happy with them. BTW, CrossTerrains are discontinued as well. They are replaced by Latitude Tour.
