Is this steering issue a red flag?

Found 90' with only 100k for a "good" price but...
When you are accelerating at low speed and making a turn... the steering wheel gets slightly "jumpy". She drives really straight other than this issue.

Always wanted a 2nd Gen but I don't wanna get in over my head in repairs. Just wondering if this a red flag for some serious issue. Thanks for helping out a newbie!

Does it have the ADD or manual hubs? Could just be really bad CV joints. Other than that or tire rub I don't know what it could be.

Hmm.. I am not sure about ADD or manual hubs. CV joints popped in my head too. Thanks Declans. This is all very new to me...

I know there are probably a handful things... Just nervous about pulling the trigger on this deal. I am prepared to make some repairs. Just don't wanna get to deep in the $$$.

If it is ADD a quick diagnostic would be to remove the 6 10mm bolts holding the drive flanges on and pop the flanges off. This will disengage the cv axles. Take her around the block and see what happens.

jack up the front and shake the wheels back and forth and up and down and see what you find.

Thanks for all the help guys. I decided to pass on this one... too many other issues. Never could figure out the steering issue....
