is this true, fj rear 5100 on 3d gen

I don't know about all that but I would suggest you consider the Land Cruiser shocks for the rear. You can order them at a discount online from "Camelback Toyota Online Parts" - for example.

I'm running them as part of my SS 1.2 kit and they've worked out great for years now.

I don't really understand why those are better.

Do you think they will have more flex then my LC shocks and LC coils? How much of that is really true?

With my SS 1.2 setup I can flex the rear all the way to the bumpstops without worry. I've done it many times.

BTW, I do like Bilstiens - I'm running them in the front.

I don't know if they are "better" I'm just picky lol. I want bilsteins all around. But what is tricky is this, can anyone tell me if fb cruiser rear bilstein 5100 are the same as the so called long travel bilstein 5100 for our 4runner and the only difference is the price tag.

I hope it ain't a secret. I just called toytec and the guy confirmed it that they are indeed the same exact shocks. Even same eye size. Only difference is few bushing on too. Which I doubt it has anything to do with mounting it. So do you guys think if I was to order them same shocks of thmotorsports , I'll be good. Can't go wrong with 80$ a pop

I can't comment on the fit, but I'll bet you could go over to FJCruiserforums.com and go the local forum for your area and pick up a set for free. Lots of good guys over there and most of them through their rears away when they lift them.

Ha that's sweet. I believe the fj 5100 have 3/4 eye which don't require any swapping they just bolt right in. But are cheaper if you buy it for fj and use it on 4runner.

The rear shocks are just about it. The front coil overs will definitely not work, neither will the UCAs. I have seen another member use rear 2" lift springs for an FJ on his 3rd gen. Although that's a bad idea IMO also. Those springs have a lot wider diameter and really don't seat properly.

Well, tundra front 5100 and fj cruiser rear 5100 around 360$ which isn't that bad for nice set of bilstein. But you will need to spend little on extras. Or talk to briansd_42, about the LC set up.
