you engine bay is so clean!
I am afraid to power wash the engine bay. I wished they had some non-water engine bay cleaning.

Alas, air cleaner mods are not California smog legal for OBD-II vehicles... that's why I want to keep the stock tubing as much as possible. They won't notice the difference if I paint it black and just attached the remaining hoses that way.

It's not an "air cleaner mod". You could paint it pink and still pass.
In Colorado a smog check is required every 2 years and I've never had a single issue.

That Airraid tube (and their complete intake systems) has an EO number so it's even smog legal in California

My Airaid tube was plug-n-play. 8 years later I would have bought it again...
I too have the air aid and love it! I tried to do the ISR mod, but somehow ended up ripping the intake tube. I;m really happy with the AirAid though really cleans up the engine bay.

Well that changes things! I'm going to look into it then. Most aftermarket parts manufacturers don't go through the trouble to get an EO, they are just happy to sell in the other 49 states. Man I hate California's red tape. Not like I'm making some smog monster here...
Uhh on second thought, maybe not. They are $150... when I can do the mod for easily under $25 myself!
