Issue after airaid install

My 4runner had a cheap CAI on it when I got it. I swapped it out today with a stock air box (with deck plate) and an airaid tube and filter.

After the swap the truck is driving ok at near idle speeds but under acceleration it's bogging down and backfiring. Any ideas what could be causing this?

This is on a '98 3.4L

This is on a '98 3.4L

Make sure the maf is connected and pull the battery negative cable for about 10 minutes then restart car, let idle for about 10 minutes to relearn the fuel trims and take it for a spin to see what happens.

Turns out I have a air box for a 99+ but I have a 98. So the Maf won't match up. I had to reinstall the old CAI until I can figure out how to swap maf's or repin the connector somehow.

Thank you for the advice Wilson. I was able to do some more research and I got the connector repined. It's working great now!
