Issue after tundra brake upgrade

Do you have abs? Could be a huge air bubble made it to the unit too.
You may have to cycle the pump, bleed, cycle, bleed, a couple of times to get all the air out of it.
Braking on a slick road will cycle the pump. Ex: dirt road, water soaked road.

That's a really great idea. I wonder if that's why so many people complain of a mushy pedal after doing the TBU. I was super careful and only a few drops ever came out of the lines when I was doing mine and never had an issue. Didn't think about the air being stuck in the ABS pump for others an how hard it would be to get it out.

Each member work on their differently. And the newer ones new to wrenching, are just starting out. I applaud them on learning how to wrench on their rigs.

Some find no issue is letting the whole brake circuit bleed out thinking "I'll just bleed it and it will be good". And that's fine if you know how to untrap the air out of the circuit. The newer wrenchers may not know how as they are just starting out.

The correct way is to trigger the abs motor via computer while bleeding. Not many has that kind of tool. Almost everyone knows of a dirt road near by.
