Issue after upper control install

Sorry if this has been said before, just installed my upper control arms and now my abs light, traction control, and4x4 light is on(blinking). Help will be much appreciated. [emoji29]

Most likely damaged the wire that goes to the ABS sensor. Lots of threads about that. You'll need to replace.

Agree with the above, happens all the time. If you can solder and know wiring, you can fix the sensor. If not, buy a new one and swap it in.

$100 part from Toyota, something like that. You can swap it yourself in a few minutes, no need to pay a shop to do it. You likely won't find a shop willing to repair it, no money in that. They'll all push you to buy a new one.

Easy fix yourself, you can buy aftermarket sensors for far cheaper than Toyota OEM but I am an OEM part kinda guy

I snapped the wire earlier this year working on my lift. Forgot to unbolt the wire holder at the UCA.

But I bought my driver side wire, assuming it's just the wire and not the sensor, for just $50+ and an easy swap. They're side specific so just pay attention to the info and part numbers.

Pretty much what happened here. Only had 1 and half to work before the shop closed so rushed and forgot to unbolt the passenger side off the UCA... knew it would be this [emoji849][emoji26]

The part is ~$70. The diagnostic to identify which one and the labor to replace? Who knows?

Everybody said sensor to me but this was all it took.

Oops didn't do but when I unhooked the wire the same lights remained. It looks fairly sturdy tbh but will take a closer look and see when may need soldering. Couldn't get the wire off the sensor, so I took the sensor with me. Hopefully it isnt very sensitive or need some sort of special treatment :/

It is my understanding the wire has a very specific resistance so soldering it probably will not repair it. The sensors are pretty bullet proof. It is normally the wire that breaks when doing suspension operations because it has already been slight crushed in the bracket that holds it on the spindle. My local shop broke one while replacing front springs a couple years ago. I paid a $65 diagnostic fee and they bought and replaced the wire for that corner for $68. The sensor should come off the wire by inserting a flat screwdriver into the clip slot and slipping the connector out. At least that's how we were doing it on another club member's 2015 Tacoma several times this summer for CV issues. We haven't had to replace either wire or sensor yet.

Ok just to update it is fixed! Went to toyota this morning for my alignment and they offered me $200 to replace and install the harness. The harness and sensor is separate, the harness costed $85. So I went ahead and told then I'll just purchase the harness for $85 and install on my own, but it comes Tuesday next week. Driving home I said f@#! It and when I got home, I cut both ends, soldered to new wires along with waterproofing and covering them up with a strong plastic sheath. Prayed then went to install it. IT WORKED! no lights, nothing! Took literally less than 2hrs including putting it back in and reusing the brackets. Went back to toyota because my alignment was off and asked if I could cancel the order... they cant...until it arrives here. Whatever, at least I get my $85 back for literally a piece of wire that I made free.[emoji849][emoji57]

Yes they are separate. I believe the sensor is $178 and the harness(just a wire[emoji849]) is $85.

I don’t have any wheel sensor issues rght now but I will say this was a good read and I really appreciate when OPs let everyone know they found a path forward.
