150k miles is definitely the time to walk away if you are going to do it. A lot of things are up on the maintenance list between 150k and 200k.

You are asking retail for a truck with 150k miles. You will probably get $2000 less selling it FSBO. Good luck. Mods tend to lower the value, not increase it. What ends up happening is you lose a bunch of potential buyers who wonder what issues it has because of the mods.

I wouldnt even look at this because of the price. My buddy just got a 99 with 160k miles for $6000 from dealership and thats in CO where they are overpriced!! Ohh and the mods you have done dont justify selling it for more.

He's right that those mods do not add a lot of value. Rarely do mods add any value on the used market.

I think you should look up the KBB for your local area and add $500 for the suspension.

That would be a good start price. Or just wait it out. Perhaps we will be proved wrong by an $8000 buyer.

Gotta price it a little high so you don't get lowballed very easily. Location is a big factor when selling a truck like that and I bet it'll sell in the $7000 range easily and if you don't like what you get offered then wait it will sell eventually since nice 3rd gens are getting less and less common.

I've turned down 3 offers over $7000 on my 178k mile '99 but it's in good shape and I have full history and every receipt I've collected over the last 9 years and it purrs just as quietly as my mom's '99 Limited with almost 100,000 less miles.

I've been looking and in my area, the dealers would be asking for 7500 or so, without any idea when the t-belt had been done. Even some of the ones with 200k on them people are asking 5k for. I want a taco but that market is worse.

I think the price is perfect. Will he get that much, probably not. Like others have said he will get lowballed and has room to go down. No point in posting it for the price you'd be happy getting because people rarely pay full price. If I sold mine I'd put it at the same price and we have about same mods. Although I have 20k less miles.
