It is summer time: Run the heater

Most of us totally forget the heater during the summer months. This is the time, all the crap will start building inside the heater core and eventually leading to a failure.

Just run the heater may be once every month to keep it functioning.

I flush my radiator. No crap in there at all.

When using the A/C if you ever adjust the climate control to less than full cold then antifreeze is going through the heater core.

I've heard of them before. This could be an urban legend but I hear they are used to make your runner hotter inside then it is outside. So in our case, about 125 degrees.

Joking aside, I don't even know if the heater works in my 2015 Corolla.. Got it last September.

I alwasy try to remember to run my heater a few times. And my A/C during Winter.

I'll leave the keys in it if you want to drive it with the heater on for me. It's only supposed to be 111 tomorrow.

Don't have to "drive" it with the heater "on".
Just move the control to warm with the fan off for a minute.

I do not even like to look at the heater in the summer. It is hot enough in Texas ; thankfully the humidity has dried up so the whole state does not feel like that cesspool called Houston.
