Looks good! I like the LED taillights. I think that you need rock sliders or maybe cool-looking running boards. When i had my 4runner, i never did like the look of them without the running boards...simply because i don't like to look at the frame and hardware underneath. Just my view.

I'm thinkinng maybe a black set of nerf bars, especially after the lift. my only reason I don't is because I don't wanna rub my leg against them every time I exit the car.... sliders would be nice for that reason.

don't you have to make sliders ? I know nothing about them. can I purchase 4runner specific ones and just bolt them on?

Quite a few companies make sliders, but shipping would be a ***** if they aren't local.

Maybe there is a metal working shop near you that could do it.

I looked up stuff today, read some threads here and there, and came up with this.

Trailgear makes cheap stuff that will work for my application since I'm not doing anything insane for only 139 a pair with free shipping... not bad!

AllPro makes some, but I dislike the design.

Stubbs sliders are the shit but I dont need that much.

Then there's sonoran steel and stuff but I think trailgear will work fine for me, just have to weld them on.

I really just want a slider than will look good, protect me from flying rocks kicked up by my tires, and not stick out far enough that it could be used as a step (so I dont rub against it getting in n out of the car.)

I have the All Pros and do recommend them

jumping into a one year old thread....

I get your point on the All Pro design-but can assure you that bump out at the back end serves an important purpose when off roading.

It saved my rear drivers side quarter panel when I was entering the Taylor Creek-river bed on my descent of Taylor Pass a few years back.

That bump out served as a pivot point for my truck-the slider rested against a large boulder. I would have loved to gotten out and taken a shot of it-but my seat belt had me pinned in. It locks up completely when you exceed a certain degree of steepness. Then as I powered around the boulder itself the bump out gave me enough clearance to not rub my qpanel against the rock. Scratched the heck out of the slider-but that's the whole point-no body damage whatsoever.

Anyways I like the step feature too- it makes it easy for the kids and women folk to get in the ride and heck me too-I am but 5'7" and added the extra oh shit handle to the drivers side headliner for another grab and pull up point to enter and exit the vehicle.

Shipping from Hemet CA to Denver area was only around $30 it came palletized to my workplace.

How interesting, Hemet is a really small city I grew up in, I'm suprised there's a company/shop that makes sliders out there. Also, I just realized that ChildrenOfBodom lives in the city right next to mine. What coincidences.
