ITR Boot

This came out of my ITR boot while attempting to replace my OTRE. I stopped the job to see if there's reason for concern with whatever this crap was. ITR seems fine, not really bad play to it but I'm thinking I may go ahead and replace it.

cant tell, what is it? water? oil?

power steering fluid?

if its the last...the rack is leaking...

I wiped it up immediately in case my dad walked in. With the boot off what can I look for as far as inner tie rod being shot?

Most likely moisture and dirt got into the boot, mixed with some grease from the ITR and caused that liquid.

The ITR is bad if it flops around after the OTR has been removed - it should stay in the place where you put it and feel tight. It is easy to replace at this point. NAPA has good quality replacements.
