After reading this thread, looks like I was pretty lucky to find an 04 v8 4wd with 63k miles a year ago. Currently has about 79k
Myself, I wasn't a fan of a Sport because of the XREAS (or a Limited with XREAS). Nor 2WD. 2WD is fine for some people but I think if you ever want to sell it 4WD is an easier sell.
any though about pricing? $7k with 140k mileage.. that about right ?
Lock the center diff if you need it. Try driving in 4Hi unlocked first and if you are having trouble getting traction and the traction control is just not getting you moving like you want, then engage the center diff. Just remember to unlock it when you're back on high grip surfaces. Thanks Flipflop! One more question if you don't mind. Do I use the center dif in snow or on slick roads? I won't be doing any real 4 wheeling. I need it to get out if the driveway in winter. Thanks!

Get it while you can. Pricy, but if you snooze you lose.
Here's the local search I do for only Limited 4WD V8's 2005-2009 - http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-...1=4RUN|Limited&vehicleStyleCodes=AWD4WD&Log=0
That is insane. Doesn't even look to be in great shape. And I'd bet its timing belt hasn't been done. And they are asking 24k for a 12 year old truck. I'm in the wrong business!

Just for the sake of "looking on the bright side"
You could argue that it's a good thing you can't find a low mileage T4R. It means that:
A: The owner's love them.
B: Demand is high.
C: They are fairly well built.
If patience is a virtue, than be virtuous my friend and your 4R will pop up somewhere around you.
