Please, it's in great shape, easily worth $20k. You don't have to buy it, but that will be sold fast. I'd buy it in a hearbeat for $20-21k. There's just not many clean low miles V8 4WD Limited's available.

Guess great is relative. But there's an ass for every seat.

In march a 2008 V8 4x4 limited 80k miles.. that I test drove was at a BMW dealership here in Florida sat on the lot for weeks. A Florida vehicle as well, zero rust. They were Asking 17,900.

The Colorado tax looks to be about 5-6k more. I'll keep a look out. If I find them down here I'll buy them and ship them to my buddy in Denver to sell.

timing belt wasn't done.. it was used for towing a big camper and paint was fair.. not my cup of tea... the one I got was a lot nicer for 16k.. but ya.. knowing these prices i should of flipped it.. will do next time! haha

Considering they go to damn near 350 to 400k miles barring maintenance and no major outages known before 2005 model year, yes.

I better capitalize on this bubble market. 4th gen 4Runners are starting to resemble Porsche 993s in terms of resale value. Someone make me an offer! I've got a rust-free, California-native V8 4WD with a "low" 127K waiting for its new owner......for the right price.

Thank you for the offer but I have to decline. Clean, rust-free V8 4th gens are literally just like air cooled Porsches. They just don't make 'em that way anymore. Prices will only go up from here

I'm always shocked when I see these numbers , asked guy at dealership what trade in would get maybe 6,500$ & then I see what they put em on sale dbl that ! Look out west & make the trip !

Just for the sake of "looking on the bright side"

You could argue that it's a good thing you can't find a low mileage T4R. It means that:

A: The owner's love them.
B: Demand is high.
C: They are fairly well built.

If patience is a virtue, than be virtuous my friend and your 4R will pop up somewhere around you.

I look for a 4th gen with decent low mileage (12 k per year of driving) and in decent shape but theres nothing out there. I had it for 8 years and put next to nothing in it and it ran like a kitten. Its no wonder no one can find a good used one at a decent price or in decent shape. I took great care of mine. Whoever got it, got a deal and a half. Like others have said, I am waiting for the 6th gens to come out if they do. I will tradein this 5th gen in a heartbeat as long as the 6th gen is a better model then the 5th.

I agree but they are out there. Would just likely need to go 50 or so miles outside your area but my preference would always be the v8.

I happen to have an 07 Sport 4x4 V8 in superb condition with only 57k on it. I just bought a '16 TEP with KDSS that I also love and the 07 goes to my son. I will say that I would never trade in the 07 for the 16. The dealer wanted it for sure and I could have gotten around $20k+ for it but that 07 will never ever leave this family. I'd get rid of the 16 before the 07 without hesitation.

Looking forward to what 6th gen will bring. Don't care much for 5th gen, but if they discontinue 4Runner, will be very interested in buying a new one of the then latest model year (and getting underside rustproofed immediately after purchase!).

I just saw the first pics of the new 4runner and I absolutely HATE it! it looks like an updated highlander. So disappointing. I guess they are trying to go for more luxury than utility.

I tried googling "2018 4runner" and didn't get anything other than 5th gen pics that's why I asked. Thanks.

EDIT: I did see a pic of that VW-looking thing but didn't believe it. Was hoping that wasn't what you were referring to.

As the title states, I had a hard time finding my 2WD 4th Gen with low mileage a year ago. Now that I'm looking for a low mileage 4X4 4th gen it seems damn near impossible. The last 4 months I've checked the Internet multiple times a day, every single day, and rarely find what I'm looking for. There's been a couple that were good deals and I've contacted them the same day only to find out someone came with cash hours after the car being posted.

I've now started looking outside California and doing a possible fly and buy, but I'm not sure how that works with California smog rules and stuff. Anyone know? I've always read the vehicle has to have a smog certificate which would pass in California prior to purchasing, otherwise you can't register it... but I see some out of state dealers advertising fly and buys
