I just bought a Black 2000 Toyota 4Runner SR5! This would be the first Toyota I've ever purchased, however I have had 3 different Lexus sedans (All LS models) previously and a long time member of Club Lexus so I'm related =)
I decided the appropriate name for him is Toby. He is a little rough around the edges with some hail damage, but I took this project on because I just recently graduated college and am now a bachelor so I believe I'll have some time to myself on the weekends :uzi:
Enough about me, Here is the Truck the day I bought it.
Parked in the garage next to my Alpine White 335i.
First Mod - Certifit hood. There is one in Louisville, selling these things for $64!
I ordered the guts of the scoop from Carson Toyota in California. It was about $187 for everything they said I needed. My local dealer quoted me $300!!!
The previous owner didnt know how to clean carpet, so I was in for a surprise when I started checking it out - waterlogged. I looked for a leak, found nothing, so I guessed that was it. I purchased carpet from Stock Interiors, good quality stuff
Installing carpet. Dont ask why the tail light is off lol.
I've had this thing a week and I've done:
- Sport Hood and Scoop
- Full Carpet replacement
- LED Tails (on the way)
Future Mods:
- Nice Lift and Wheels (First 4WD toy - Still learning!)
- 1UZ-FE or 2UZFE swap (Or Supercharger)
- Luggage rack basket with Off road lights
- OEM Fogs with HID conversion
- Corner Light signal rewire
- and some other stuff i'm sure.
