The Ashton-Flagg Ranch road I have heard is pretty nice. There's also the road up to Granite Hot Springs that goes thru a pretty scenic valley and has a developed hot spring you can soak in at the end. I have not been on the Flagg Ranch to Ashton road. But, from what I have heard neither are really ones that would need 4 wheel drive.

There are some mellow trails in the Bridger-Teton NF (east, but very close) and most of the surrounding area.
check out the GAIA app or you can even download the MVUM (motor vehicle use maps) from each of the National Park / National Forest websites. Shockingly, most of the roads will also show on your factory GPS, but the Gaia or MVUM has a bunch more detail.
Have fun and watch for bears.

I'm headed there the week of 9-13-9/20. Let's hope the smoke is at a minimum.

I just came back from there. I'm waiting for the 2022 model, so no trail report. But, it was fairly smokey. I couldn't really smell it, but the haze certainly obscured the views a bit. My wife complained about her eyes burning a bit, so if you are sensitive to that stuff you might want to prepare for it.
Hopefully, it will all clear out before your trip. We took the kids to have pizza and waffles at the top of the Tetons (2 separate trips). I meet an old guy at the top who hikes to the top 3 times a week. It looked like he had watermelons for calves. He encountered bears 6 times this year on his trips up. It was really cool to chat with with.
