t-rex, have you had those discoverer stt's off road?
If you have, whats your opinion?
On rocks?
On gravel roads?
In mud?
and on the road?
Decent deep snow - I think we get the picture
How much did you pay for them?
Cooper rates them pretty well on their web site - Im just wondering, because I am considering going to a more aggressive pattern on my next set of shoes

here are the answers to all of your questions:
rock - no
gravel - i guess? they handle just as well as being on loose dirt
mud - yes...i've gone through some thick stuff and they've handled great, but they still chunk up, and i was sliding around a little bit
snow - yes...they're great in the snow, but i have yet to see how they perform on ICE
cost - online shops have a better price than local stores...check ebay
i probably have around 3000 miles on them, and they have been great so far.
pros:
- they're pretty quite on the road. however, if you're running a lower psi, they do get louder.
- they look nice
- they handle well in everyday conditions including rain...but then again, im not flying through corners
- they smell nice

- don't have any so far

hey t-rex grrr u got anymore pics...are u from tahoe??..cause im heading out there feb 7th-11th stayin at harrahs in south tahoe..just wonderin what moutain i should check out besides heavenly i will have a rental car

Joe here. I used to work in South Shore Tahoe and I live 86 miles to the west in the Foothills.
If your going skiing, then hevenly is the closest to you. Just take the sky tram from the Marriott and straight up Hevenly.
Other ski areas include Kirkwood, which is higher than Heavenly and slightly to the south west by maybe 12 to 15 miles on 88. Squaw valley at the north western end of the lake, maybe 1 to 1 1/2 hours drive up 89 North, also at the north end of the lake is North Star (you might see some movie people there - I gather a lot have property at Incline village on the North eastern end of the lake. (big money area)

Be careful not to do anything silly in Tahoe after dark, like drink drive or the like, there are a LOT of cops in Tahoe to cater for the crowds.
The best bar in town (in my opinion) is on Ski Run, just to the north of pioneer trail on the right side as you head towards the lake - there are a lot of good bars/night spots in town including some of the casinos

k thanks alot man!! i was thinking about kirkwood and maybe the drive up to alpine not to sure tho.which moutain do you think is the best in the north side of the lake?..i was there last year but nothing was open besides heavenly only like 5% of the moutain was open..it was the first week of dec but i had fun..we stayed at harrahs and we went to vex at harahs and cabo wabo and checked out some other nightclubs at mt blue but im not really into nightclubs that much.im 23 just lookin for a place where most of the college kid hang out..is that bar on ski run on heavenly moutain?...i cant remeber any bars near harrahs i just remeber casinos and some ski shop right across the street

ummm...yes, those are pictures of my car, and from the day i swapped cars with my gf...now did you just happen to drive by those two locations to take the pictures? in the last picture, it looks like you actually walked onto the parking lot to take the picture, and it just seems a little weird to me that those pictures were taken on the day my gf had the car, and at the two different locations she was at in the morning...
