Jaos Exaust

Hey Team
im looking into starting some mods now that im almost done school and have a little bit of cash
i was looking at the Jaos full exaust system by BATTLEZ.
i was wondering if the claim that it adds a little vroom on the outside but not on the inside of the cab is true.
also does any one know what it might do to fuel economy? or performance?
any of your thoughts/ advice would be welcome

I don't think many people are going to have experience with a JAOS exhaust because it is japanese and there are many good alternatives available domestically.

TRD, Borla, Magnaflow and others.

Members have posted sound clips and their opinions on most of these systems so if you search you will get alot of info.

The JAOS exhaust is very expensive and is very quiet. It also exits the rear just like the stock system. I don't think the people who installed the JAOS are happy with the "Bang for the Buck".

For $383 delivered, you can't beat the all stainless MagnaFlow cat back system and it looks & sounds great.

I got my BattleZ not more than a month ago. I'm pretty happy with it, but Koz is right, for the money I spent, I was expecting more. Didn't really notice the extra HP promised but I expected that given the V8. But the part that really bugs me is the vvrrooom...or lack thereof. At times, it sounds pretty nice in the cabin (low and throaty), but at other times, I can't hear it at all. If it wasn't for the less than throaty notes, I would have been OK with the price spent. Looks isn't bad, you can definitely tell it ain't stock.

No, I didn't get the mid pipe, I just got the back piece. From what I saw, it wasn't worth it. As for fuel economy...nope, I didn't see any gain or drop in MPG.

unless you have money to burn it's prob not the best option for an exhaust. like what toybox has stated, the other options are better for the bang for your buck. the bottom line is an exhaust is an exhaust. You just gotta have a pipe at the end to let the fumes leave. any ol pipe will do if you're really ghetto.

i geuss im looking for soemthing that will give me some purrrr but really not make too much noise in the cab for all of my driving

don't worry about being ghetto, as my ghetto is the best. i don't have an exhaust. it got ripped off literally on the trails in Moab, UT. After that I haven't even bothered to replace the exhaust so when I look at the underside all I see is a pipe that looks like twisted metal that has a big hole pointing to the ground.

it works, it's quiet and now nobody can see my exhaust pipe as long as it can flow the exhaust fumes out w/o any restriction that's all that matters. now is it carb approved? eh prob not since the last resevoir was filtering something but i'm not sure how much. no biggie.

You might be better off doing what I did. I went with the universal 22" Magnaflow muffler. Has a real nice "purr" at idle and gets a little throaty when accelerating, but not loud at all and no annoying drone in the cabin at highway speeds. Hard to describe, but has an understated "performance" sound to it.

The mid pipe does make a big difference. It's almost like getting another new exhaust. What you will find is, the more you spend on an exhaust the quiter most become. More baffling to create a more tuned sound that is still free-flowing without being overbearing.

that makes a little more sense i would not assume a huge difference if one was to install just the tail end
it is a bit pricey but it is also the style i really want
and it sounds like it has the sound (vroom out side) and keeping the inside quite is fairly important to me as i do a lot of high way driving and i do want to be comfortable....like i said i got some research to do here
