Alright, there's a split. Buying the cars: Perfectly fine. If I need a part, however, I walk through the garage, into the parts dept., where I ask for what I need. I get quote a decent price, (such as buying the seat rail cover on my passenger side.) That was $10.19. Two days later, I get charged $21.56! The part was bought for double the quoted price, and when I brought it up, he did everything to change the subject. Odd, and although I don't use the stealership much, it just frustrated me.

Probably just a mathematical error. That's waht happened when I bought
my SR5 from them. I asked about getting running boards installed for
when I took delivery of it that evening. I wanted to surprise my wife with
already having them on. I walked back to the parts desk where my sales
guy caught up to me and he said he would get the quote for me. I went back
to his desk and waited. About 5 minutes later he came back and quoted
a price of $1,749. I told him that's too much and I saw them on another SR5
for about $700. He said, that's the price he was given. I told him I'll buy some later
and put them on myself.

Later I called the parts dept and asked how much they cost. I was told $549. So I
called my sales guy and asked why they were charging $1,200 to install them. He said
he would look into it. Called back and said, he made a mistake and would only charge
$705. I replied, but you were told it was a firm number by your sales manager. Back
and forth we went... :blah::blah:I told him, I'm cancelling the deal and will be in for my
deposit that evening.

A little later the sales manger calls and said, my sales guy made a mistake. And I replied,
but he said you gave him the number. Back and forth we went...:blah::blah::blah: I told him,
I'll be in for my deposit. Then he said, what if I include them for free. I was still upset about
this, but I figured I had invested time and would rather deal with who I already know, than start
the whole process again with some where else. So I agreed to go through with it.

In the end they made it right, but it took some arguing.:vader: I'm just wondering how often these
"mathematical errors" happen. Happens at Walmart all the time where they ring the same item twice
and we get home and have to go back up for a refund. I guess they rang the running boards up three times?
