JBL amp replacement

Has anyone done a replacement of the factory JBL amp? I feel like the sound quality of the JBL system is lacking due compared to my wife's factory Lexus GS350 (non-Mark Levinson).

The Toyota "infotainment" system, in the 4Runner, has always been crap. There are a host of threads detailing problems with it; and what systems they went to. Many folks have moved on to aftermarket systems and some companies make systems to fit the 4Runner and are pretty much plug and play. I don't know about replacing just the amp in the JB system, but a stereo shop might be able to do it. Try looking at Crutchfield for one.
