JBL Radio Upgrade

I have been reading through all of the posts on people upgrading to scion radios, but all seem to mention it doesn't work with the stock amp. Are there any options out there that won't take all of the speakers being rewired?

I Put a Aftermarket double din in my 4runner and used a special harness to keep the stock amp in the mix. I would love to get a better amp in there but between that and replacing all those speakers it would get expensive quick so I just decided to buy the harness for now and maybe down the road drop some money into it. the stock sounds good about 70% of the way to the volume I would like.

I also replaced the head unit and added a PAC interface box to keep the steering wheel controls, using those with the stock speakers and amp. It's only OK, tbh; it'll play louder than stock but it sounds pretty harsh (lots of EQ applied to tame the hashy high end) and there's a weird quality to it that probably comes in part from the PAC interface.

Better than stock, but I was a little dissapointed given the money spent.

I just purchased a Pioneer nex 4200 and a PAC RP4.2 harness. From what I read it will hook up the JBL and HU together....also the steering wheel. The PAC gets delivered on Monday so I am hoping most of it is just plug and play and not much guessing.
