Jdm Lights

Those aren't JDM lights, they're custom OEM ones that have been taken apart and painted so buyer beware. In Japan the headlamps look just like they do here.

really... even the ones that say one peice ?? so they arent even some other brand of custom lights they are someones jerry-rigged stuff??

nope hes right, the company selling them disassembles them and paints the front black then reassembles them, thus the beam pattern is a hit or miss.

When i was first looking at those i didnt understand about the beam pattern but if you get in a newer car you can shine the lights on a wall and its basically a straight line.

Also to anyone posting in that thread about telling people to search first, this is a good example of where you probably should have searched instead of starting a new thread:

Black headlights thread

hope this helps!

If you already have the newer ones I'd just stick with those and go with some clear corners for a custom touch and avoid any beam issues.

that is probably what Ill end up doing.... Im even thinking of using black 3m vinyl on the oustide of the light and make my own.... I see where there is a thread for taking them apart and doing it yourself, but that was the guys with the newer models...... Im wondering would vinyl stick for a long period of time??? guess I should just do it.... nothing to lose the crap is dirt cheap...

ehh id watch the heat issue, after driving in the rain or at night with you headlights on for a while they start to heat up, there is a chance i imagine that it could melt the vinyl onto your headlights.

actually man... this works, I made color matched eye-lids for my maxima..... before the color matched I had carbon fiber look on there.... they where both on there for about a year total.... with no issues at all

correct... you can use vinyl for eyelids.... and yes it does block the light... but it looks sweet because you can cut it in any shape or contour to really get the lines right.....

Im gonna try to do the black circles ... like the JDM look when i get a chance...

thats awesome, i was trying to give the top of the headlights a slight angle for a more aggressive look. What color did you use and what did you try an color match it with?

I originally did it with a carbon fiber printed 3m on my maroon maxima.... it looked great, lasted about a year then started to fade a lil, so I got some maroon 3m and did the same for the max..... long story short ... I want that JDM black look b/c my truck is black... and dont wanna spend the money!

oh dang, all this time i was thinking vinyl as that static film and not the sticker stuff. Because i started to think why cant you just use that static cling as window tint so if you get pulled by a cop you could just pull it right off before he gets up there.

Anyways how permanant is that vinyl? if i dont like it can i just peel it off or will it leave some pretty nasty residue?

dude its real easy to get off... esp. on glass..... you could use a heat gun or blow dryer to make it even easier.... as for the residue some goo gone or solvent of some sort... will get it all of.

FINALLY avail!

I can offer better quality and a warranty. You don't know always what you are getting on ebay or which factory made them, etc. I stand behind everything I sell if there is even an issue :)
