My DD is currently running Tundra TRD front springs and Bilstein Tundra 5100 shocks up front. The rear is factory 1995 land cruiser shocks and OME 890 coils. Very reasonable combo for a DD truck both comfort and height.

Well, I am getting a pair of 2000 Tundra TRD Shocks and Springs Y/Y & Y/B from a local salvage yard. Now to find a pair of LC coils to match. What color/coil count are best matched to the Tundra setup?

It seems you've already decided and I sent you a PM on LC coils but my next set of tires will be of the 265/75r16 variety and I think 2"+ lift will make them look too small. I'm just gona through a 1" daystar top spacer on the front along with stock replacement shocks which shouldn't make the ride any harsher and a 1" spacer in back. Thats just my opinion as far as keeping a factory ride and not making the tires look like donuts.

Or maybe I'll do a 1" body lift but I have it narrowed down to those 2 options at the moment.

This is a great question and one I have been researching for the last several months on this site and yotatech. According to the Lift FAQ sticky and lots of other posts on here the 7 wraps will give you between 3 and 3 1/2 inches of lift in the rear (a few guys seem to have reported even more). I am torn between the OME 906 and the LC coils - but am leaning towards the 906 because I want around 2 inches front and rear and do not want the big rake. I have read that several folks have swapped in OME springs in the rear after installing the LC coils to correct the rake. Finally, the 7 wraps are darn hard to find compared to the 8 and 9 wraps - at least in the looking I've done. I'd love to hear from anyone who has the 7 wraps with the tundra front about how much rake they have etc. b/c I would much rather spend 80 bucks on the LC coils than the 150 or more for the OME 906. Also, if anyone knows where to find 7 wraps that would be interesting info to have as well. Thanks! - as always you guys rock!

Go to Ih8mud.com and join. I find 80 series LC coils there everytime I look. I may be wrong but it seems that by removing the cone bumpstop inside the rear spring perch you can reduce the amount of lift the LC coils will give you even further. Maybe someone with more knowledge on that specific point will chime in.
