Considering he's got a 3rd gen it had to be the boxy Cherokee Sports. :)

3rd gens only run low 17s in the 1/4 mile stock so we're not exactly that quick.

I smoke 'em daily, but that's just because I have the diesel version...
But I guess my 'runner eats cherokees for breakfest offroad... :P

I had an 05 Cherokee Laredo with the 3.7 V6, now I have the T4R with 4.0 V6 and it's much quicker. Better accelaration from all RPM ranges. More horsepower and torque in the 4Runner though, not sure about weight comparisons. I would imagine the 4Runner is a little heavier, since it's bigger than my old Cherokee, but I'd have to do some research.

The Cherokees are not on a "solid" frame, as the 'runner. So the runner is quite heavier. :)
Cherokee c.a. 1.6t (3100lbs?) and the runner is somewhere around 2t (4000lbs?)

But I might be abit off the scale. :)
