So I finally hit a big milestone yesterday!

I'm hoping to make this truck last a very long time.

Now that school is almost out for the year and I will be starting my internship, I can start piecing together the things that I need/want for my rig. Here is kind of the order that I want to do things this summer:
-100K Mile Maintenance
--Timing Belt
--Water Pump
--Acc Belts
--Idler/Tensioner
--Thermostat
--Flush All Fluids
-Rear Axle Rebuild (Been leaking oil for awhile now)
-Transmission Cooler and New Radiator
-Replace Lower Ball Joints
-Toytec Ultimate Lift Kit
-LR UCAs
-Savage Offroad Front Skid
-Stubbs Welding HD-SKO Rocksliders

I think that will keep me busy for most of the summer, and if you guys have any suggestions let me know!

This past week I was able to complete the rear axle seal rebuild. Since I have an internship during the day I didn't have much time to work on the truck, but I was able to at night. I didn't keep track of the total time it took, but it was around 15 hours. The total cost for parts and labor to press the axles was $735, so I saved a ton of money by doing it myself! :dancin:

Drum brakes are a PITA, but I got all of the new hardware on there

I'll re-bleed the brakes tomorrow to get the rest of the air out of the system and I will be good to go! Hopefully they will not be leaking again.

Well this past weekend was definitely a busy one! I was able to install my new timing belt kit (Link to kit) as well as a Denso radiator, B&M 70264 Transmission Cooler, NGK spark plugs and wires!

I had one hiccup when I was torqueing the water pump bolts down. I went too tight and sheared it off inside of the engine block. Luckily I was able to center tap, drill and use and easy out. I kept the threads intact inside of the block which was great news! I found another bolt that matched it perfectly and was on my way.

Besides the bolt, the hardest part was getting the rear bolt holding the tensioner off and on. I used two extenders, a swivel head, and deep socket to get it out.

Sorry that I don't have any pictures of the timing belt.

It cost me around $600 in parts and fluids to complete this and roughly 2 days! I'm confident enough to do this again and it would probably be a much quicker process the next time around!

Hey bud, looks good! Once I get my stuff together we've gotta go wheeling sometime. I'm out in Los Osos and if you ever need a hand or some space let me know, I've got a full shop and have access to a lift that can be rented pretty cheaply.

I came home last night to my Pioneer 10" compact subwoofer and my Stubbs Welding Rocksliders!

I was able to mount my subwoofer in my cargo box using the brackets they gave. Once I put my seat back up, you can't even tell I have something back there which is awesome! It packs a punch for how small it is too.

I was also able to prime and paint the sliders after work today. I can't wait to put them on next week!

Unfortunately I wasn't able to put my rock sliders on before I head out to Hollister for the day, but I was able to get a new CB antenna on! I got a 3ft red Firestik antenna that I mounted behind the rear light assembly. I ran into trouble getting the housing past the mounting bolts, but after some sanding it was alright.

Got to wheel at Hollister Hills yesterday! I had such a great time and I got to learn more about my rig and wheeling and how far I can push myself! There were times I was skeptical, but the runner never backed down! Here are some of the better pictures from the trip.

Toytec Ultimate with LR UCAs on order! OEM LBJs, LCA bushings, and sway bar bushings are also on the way!! :banana: My wallet is not my friend anymore...:faint:

No other issues at all! Super easy to tune and it has some good flex when held back. The mounting bracket didn't come with it though. I got that one off of Amazon too.

I finished prepping my rails and the sliders before the welder came yesterday, and it took him a few hours to get them both on! I am very happy with the results and his welds looked pretty good too! Now I get to start prepping for the suspension overhaul! I will post pictures as I go along, but with work it will probably take me all week to complete this.

I've been able to work on my lift a little bit after work the past couple of nights. This is my first time changing out suspension so it's taking awhile, but I'm learning a ton and having fun too.

I broke both of the bolts that hold in the bump stops. :frusty: I tried drilling and using a screw extractor, but that didn't work. I think I'm going to have to drill the screw out completely and just add a new nut behind the existing one.

I started in the rear and I'm hoping to get towards the front either tomorrow or Thursday. Here is my progress so far!
