So after talking to my neighbors about what the clicking could be, they both suggested I just change out the cv axles. I decided to go with the CVJ Remans after quite a bit of research. I heard some great things about them and a few not so great, so I really hope they hold up! I went with the extended inner silicone boots as well just to be safe.
This was my first time dealing with cvs, so it took me quite a while for the first one. The toughest part of the entire thing was getting the hub dust caps off. I broke my small screwdriver in the process...thank goodness for Craftsman!
The inner boot on the driver's side axle had also broken, so I got to have fun cleaning up all of the grease that it had thrown out.
In total, it took me about 2.5 hours to complete from tires off to on. Here are a couple of pics from last night!
