Looks mean as hell. I love it!

Wow is all I can say. Love it

Grill looks great!

thanks!

So Badass!!! you going to put 'TOYOTA' in the center or keep it plain?

Probably just keep it plain.

Awesome, thanks for the pics! Looks amazing! Are they from the iphone 4?

yes

As per your pics, it doesn't look like the upper grill deviates too much from the lower grill, but is it really noticeable in person? If it is, I'll order both in one shot to have it match. The satoshi looks to match the hoodscoop more than the bottom though.

the width of a diamond on the stock upper and lower grill is about 1.5 inches, the width of the diamond on the mesh i bought is 1 inch. so they are smaller. It is noticeable that they are different, but i don't think it looks bad. I may replace the lower with the same mesh, but I wouldn't even consider that until the spring. It's just not that important to me, and I'm happy with the way it looks now.

Also, I guess you purhcased an extra grill to keep your old one intact? I searched ebay a few days ago and couldnt find one.

I did. If possible i like to buy something to practice on rather then using my only piece. Plus i can always return my truck to stock when i decide to trade it in. The good thing about our grills is that they are two pieces (the front painted piece and the back/mounting piece. So if you can find a grill on eBay, it doesn't have to be the same color as your truck. You can cut up the inside of that one, and mount your painted piece on it for the mod. And still return it to stock later if you want.

I did nothing with the KDSS. Pulled parts off and hoped for the best. I was a little worried about what may happen, but rest assured, everything was fine.

Jesse, when you say you pulled parts off, what exactly did you do? What portions of the KDSS system did you remove to get the struts out?

jesse.. how does this thing handle in the snow?? i love what you did but im looking at getting some XD rims with my setup...

Jesse - looks badass!

Thanks!

Last year we had record snow, and it did awesome, with stock suspension and tires. And that was 3-4 feet in some spots. This year, with the lift AND better tires I can only expect it to perform better. But now that I have this setup we prob won't get any fun snow lol

Just went through your entire thread and you did a phenom job. I just got a 2011 Black SR5. We are probably at different places in our lives as I just wanted a SUV that would cruise the interstates regularly as well as getting to my mtn bike trails. No mods (much) planned for mine but if I did not have: 1 daughter in college, 1 son going next year, 4 vehicles to pay for and a wife (for 28 years!) who still likes going out to dinner every now and then I would build it like yours lol! Again, good job. Very professional results.

added some more black today. man I'm glad it's getting nice out, was able to do a small mod and wash the truck today. here a few crappy pics:
