Rusty welds are gonna get some attention

Giving everything a good brushing and sanding then putting good ole rust reformer on and undercoating just cause.
I also took off the wheels to sand down and rust reform the brake drums and check the brakes. Sorry didn't get pics of that.
Will post some after pics in a bit.

Not too bad.

i know lol i just freak out when i see rust, we dont use salt where i live so we never get rust issues.

Yeah was gonna get the boards off today and didnt have time is all. May just leave them on till I lift it.

Bled the brakes today painted skid plate and finished painting the rear spoiler. Looked it over front to back and sanded and put rust reformer on all the welds. Also put some undercoating in the fender wells.
Next will be wheel paint and painting the calipers. There new same as the rotors and pads so I won't be changing them anytime soon. What color should I paint them?
Also looking to paint/touch up the plastic fender flares. Anyone know what the color code is? Where can I get the paint?

Thanks.

Paint code is IA5, Desert Dune Metallic.

Depending on what type of paint you want, I know Autozone sells the touch up pens...I got mine there. Or I have heard that NAPA sells spray cans that are color matched. This place too...

Did you ever get the brakes working better?

I got the brakes working somewhat better, although i bled them from the front and not the back. I think next weekend I will either take it to get power bled or just try from the back. also taking it to have a new muffler put on and the O2 sensor gaskets replaced, we'll see how that helps my MPG as well, it seems really poor.

Swapped my seat bottoms out yesterday. Ahhh so much better. Now I think I'm just gonna get some Cabelas seat covers later in the month when I drive to Chicago. Should satisfy me until I get everything else like I want it.

Got a little rust on the lift gate. Gotta put rust converter on it.
Thinking about spraying something in there to keep it at bay. But what????

I would clean that up with a wire wheel, prime it, paint it, and then coat it with either Fluid Film, or just some old fashioned all purpose grease. :)
