should have gone this route from the beginning.....but wasn't sure.....had one of those...ahem....'scuse me for being a New Yorker for a minute......ghetto bull bars......didn't have much of a choice here in the great cesspool. Where, I'll use the word loosely, "people" park by brail.....a**holes!
Anyway, im getting a curt license plate bracket and hitch extender to mount the license plate.....so the other morons with no brains (ticket agents) wont give me a ticket.....those of you on this forum that are from nyc(5 boroughs) know what im talking about........
this place eats it........

Um ... must be I missed something ... agree the BB was really fugly ... but purposeful .... what goes into the hitch receiver ... to replace that ... "functionality"? All's I see is the tube.

old thread - but does anyone know what hitch that is from CURT. they make two models for the 2010 - 2013 4runners. one for the limited and SR5 and one for the trail. the one for the trail seems to sit higher up because it doesn't have to clear that black spoiler on the bottom which OP removed. assuming that is gone, does the part for the trail work? that hitch is tucked up nicely and I want to add one but not have it hang way down.
